Missionary trip to Bolivia Fundraiser

One of our own local youth members is heading to Bolivia for a mission trip along with 12 other youth across BC and Alberta to help with renovations to an orphanage/boarding school. At the Nelson Seventh-day Adventist church (1502 Granite Rd) beginning at 10:30 AM on Oct 22. All are welcome to join us.
The focus is on the history of our church. On October 22, 1844 was a very important date in our history. This year October 22 lands on Sabbath. So that's pretty cool. We are encouraging everyone to dress for the occasion but is not mandatory, just come as you are. Men can dress in dark suits, white shirts and ties. Women can dress if possible in a hat or shawl or some thing that is old fashioned. And we're going to have an old fashioned worship service including an old fashion Sabbath School. The sermon will be one of James White's sermons, entitled, the millennium. It was one he gave in 1870. Also, everyone is invited to bring any old books or religious magazines or Bibles for display.
Our High Calling: One Day Mini Series

This Sabbath, July 23, we have a special speaker from Kelowna, Andrew Bikichky, who will be giving a one day series at the Trail Seventh-day Adventist Church. Making sense of the sanctuary message contained in the bible, making it relevant to these end times. All are welcome to join us to hear this amazing message. Food and refreshments will be available throughout.
It all starts at 11:00am followed by a potluck and the three main sessions.
Series Following:
Session 1 (1:30-2:30): Our High Calling - An overview of the Great Controversy (Conflict between good and evil).
Session 2 (2:45-3:45): The Mind Redeemed - What happened to the human mind in the fall and what is God's remedy for it.
Session 3 (4:00-5:00): The Fit Man - A study of the Day of Atonement and its fulfillment in these last days.

You are welcome to come for one, or stay for them all. This will be a great opportunity to meet with fellow bible believing Christians and hear a great message.

The Seventh-day Adventist church has a wide selection of ministries and resources that can be accessed online and invite everyone to check them out. A great way to spend our time if we were to be in self isolation due to the pandemic and no greater time then now to learn of Jesus Christ and His promises of hope to us.
